Business Unit Sales Leader - Data Centre Cooling (Europe)

Compensation: Approximately £160,000 plus lucrative bonus and benefits

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Leader with a pivotal role in a global HVAC manufacturer. The candidate must have a proven history of successfully selling standard and engineered Data Centre cooling systems to enterprise and colocation clients. Experience in managing key accounts is essential.



Role and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition and Management: Proactively seek new customers and opportunities while effectively managing existing key accounts.
  • Primary Customer Contact: Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts. Handle RFQs, work with application engineering teams to deliver HVAC solutions, resolve disputes, and set customer expectations.
  • Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with application engineers to develop comprehensive customer proposals, including equipment selections, pricing, cost analysis, and competitor comparisons.
  • Strategic Planning: Establish systematic action plans to achieve objectives and goals. Proactively determine priorities, allocate resources effectively, and develop customer strategies.
  • Customer Requirements: Understand and respond to current and new customer needs to position the company as a preferred provider.
  • Pricing and Negotiations: Apply knowledge of cost and contract structures to determine product pricing during negotiations.



Essential Skills and Experience:

  • HVAC Sales Experience: Significant sales experience in the HVAC industry with specialised data centre cooling systems knowledge.
  • Evaporative Cooling Knowledge: Familiarity with evaporative cooling is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, CRM, and technical analysis software.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, dependable, with a positive attitude.
  • Social and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional social and negotiation skills.
