Market Development Manager

Industry: HVAC/Dehumidification

Location: New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, Pennsylvania

Compensation: c$140k base plus bonus and benefits

 

 

Seven Executive is seeking a market development manager to join a successful dehumidification solutions manufacturer.  This is an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth as you'll be part of a team pursuing high-growth commercial and industrial markets. In this role, you'll develop and manage strategic relationships with engineers and channel partners, prospect new business and expanding pipeline opportunities, and create and execute market penetration plans. The successful candidate must be comfortable presenting the benefits of a technical product and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

 

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including specifying engineers, architects, designers, end users in commercial and industrial HVAC markets.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive transactional sales.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities; develop and implement effective prospecting strategies to expand the sales pipeline.
  • Utilize CRM and digital tools to track and manage leads, ensuring a systematic and organized approach to business development.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to formulate comprehensive market penetration plans.
  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies to achieve business objectives; collaborate with leadership on targeted market and application-based strategic plans.

 

Person Requirements:

  • For this role, a strong technical background in the HVAC/R industry is crucial, with a mechanical engineering degree preferred. This knowledge will be essential in understanding and effectively communicating the benefits of our dehumidification solutions.
  • We are looking for a candidate with specific experience in calling on specifying engineers, architects, designers, end users, etc. in commercial and industrial markets. This experience will be instrumental in developing and managing strategic relationships with our key stakeholders.
  • Relationship builder with a hunter mentality focused on business development. Develop relationships through direct presentations, lunch and learns product and specification assistance, and sales support.
  • Professional presence, ability to represent at tradeshows and industry/association events
  • Strategic thinker, ability to help the business prioritize applications/segments and assist in the development of new products
